Beck, Jan van Goyen 1596-1656, vol. 3, Doornspijk, 1987, p. 110, no. 706A, not illustrated. Beck's tome lists the present work in a section of unsigned drawings and sketches, and coyly lists the owner at the time of publication as a familiar "Private collection W.A.G., New York."
