Unlined canvas with Paul Contet supplier's mark on the reverse. Slight yellowing to the varnish layer at edges. Scattered instances of craquelure, most apparent in the sky area. Not examined out of frame. Under UV: varnish fluoresces green unevenly and appears to have been removed in some areas. Scattered instances of strengthening to darkest pigments.
