畫中積墨團團，若非有湖石、浮萍點題，觀者難知乃寫湖面一隅。墨瀋蓋佈，似盡是景物倒影，其混沌一片，無以名狀，許是春風吹縐水面，模糊了物象輪廓，當中殷紅、暗青隱現，可會是遊廊及園林之身影？湖面中央，僅留一闕空間，未受景物倒影侵擾，固能窺見澄藍天色，魚兒自由暢泳黑與藍的色相之間，正好揭示湖面映照皆倒影幻象，呈現空間倒置效果之妙。畫家無懼用色濃重，於有限空間內，將虛與實、黑與白之對比推向極致，佈局之大膽，亦畫家筆下罕例矣！
