Felt-tip pen drawing on a hard cover. Half title signed and numbered. Copy 37/50. The drawing itself is a unique object. 23.5 x 18.9 x 4.5 cm.
Hardcover book “Stanley Whitney,” special edition, published by Karma Publications, New York, 440 pages, hardcover. The publication provides insight into the artist's work between 1978 and 2015, featuring gouaches, pencil drawings, small- and large-format paintings, and numerous color photographs from Whitney's studio. [CH].
- The drawing is unique. - In 2017, Stanley Whitney participated in documenta 14 in Kassel. - The artist's paintings are included in the collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York, among others. - Since 2022, Whitney has been represented by the renowned Gagosian Gallery. - In 2024, the Buffalo AKG Art Museum in Buffalo, New York, will present a first comprehensive retrospective.
