- Italian landscapes are among Peiffer Watenphul's favorite subjects. - Particularly harmonious composition in pastel colors - In 2023, the Casa di Goethe in Rome honored Peiffer Watenphul with an exhibition.
LITERATURE: Grace Watenphul Pasqualucci, Alessandra Pasqualucci, Max Peiffer Watenphul. Catalogue Raisonné, vol. 1: Gemälde - Aquarelle, Cologne 1989, no. G 670 (illustrated in black and white).
Private collection, Rhineland-Palatinate. Private collection, Rhineland-Palatinate (inherited from the above)
In good condition. Some minor wear along the edges. The canvas is slightly irregularly trimmed to the stretcher edge at the bottom and left edges and has been professionally relined. This condition report was prepared to the best of our knowledge and belief, using daylight and a UV light source.
