Tempera. Signed and dated on the reverse. On thin, slightly structured cardboard. 31.5 x 52.8 cm. , the full sheet.

• K.R.H. Sonderborg adds momentum to the application of paint.
• Expressive testimony to the artist's intense method.
• His works are among the most striking creations of German Informalism.
• 1959 and 1964 participation in documenta II and III, 1964 and in 1970 in the Venice Biennale.
LITERATURE: Grisebach, Kunst des 19. und 20.Jahrhunderts, Berlin November 25, 1995; lot 358 (illustrated).
Private collection, South Germany
Good overall impression. The left corners of the sheet with slight traces of creasing, a hairline rubbing in the right margin of the sheet due to framing. In the left area of the image, from two places with gaps in the color application. In the lower right corner of the sheet, a tiny pinhole due to the studio.
