- Painterly hand-made print in five intense colors. - Heckel showed the brickyard in Dangast in a woodcut (black) as early as in 1908 and in a painting and several watercolors from 1907-1909 . - In the year of creation, Heckel was probably inspired to make this work by the exhibition "Maler der 'Brücke" (Painters of the 'Brücke) in Dangast 1907-1912" in Oldenburg . - The color woodcuts occupy a special position in Heckel's artistic work, especially during the "Brücke" years, but also in his later work.
