Hofmaier 287 B (of B). Signed and barely legibly numbered. From an edition of 60 copies. On creme laid paper (with watermark "BSB"). 21.7 x 27.8 cm. Sheet: 41,5 x 53.5 cm.

- The Frankfurt years (1915-1937) are regarded an important creative period: Beckmann found his characteristic style in the metropolis on the Main. - In the 1920s, the "Eiserne Steg", a bridge built over the Main in Frankfurt in 1869, inspired Beckmann twice: In addition to "Stadtansicht mit Eisernem Steg", he also made the famous cityscape "Große Brücke" (1922, Hofmaier 243). - Rare. Only 6 other prints have been offered on the international auction market (www.artprice.com). - Part of the Ahlers Collection for 50 years.
