The Vancouver School refers to a group of Canadian artists of conceptual and post-conceptual photography from the 1980s onwards. Always critical of mass media, the artists developed new practices in photographic and video art and responded to the degradation of visual values by conceptual art with photographs of high intensity and complex content.
