Dorotheum

With a history stretching back over 300 years, the Dorotheum, founded in 1707, is one of the oldest auction houses in the world. With around 600 auctions a year, the Dorotheum has established itself as the largest auction house in Central Europe today. The Dorotheum's high-quality offerings include paintings, prints and sculptures from almost all areas of art history, as well as precious arts and crafts, with a special focus on furniture, porcelain and jewellery. The Dorotheum is also Austria's largest provider of jewellery and the traditional pawning of valuables is still popular today.
