The Camden Town Group is a group of British painters founded by Walter Sickert (1860-1942) in London, active between 1911 and 1913, during which time they established the Post-Impressionist style in England. Named after the then run-down neighbourhood in north London where a number of the artists lived and worked, the group aimed to reflect realistic scenes of modern urban life.
