The 1965 merger of the Munich artist groups "WIR" and "SPUR" gave rise to the group "GEFLECHT", which existed until 1968. On the one hand, the name was meant to symbolise the connection between life and art; on the other hand, the name became the programme in their relief-like works. In the search for artistic forms of expression, the path initially led towards three-dimensionality through the use of cardboard, wood, wire, etc. and finally to the development of the so-called "anti-objects".
