Video Art

The broad field of video art encompasses artistic work with moving images and sound, which is characterised by its versatility and ability to be combined. In its earliest form, the visual electronic art form emerged from the 1960s onwards in the USA and Germany. In the following decades, in the course of the continuous technical development of the electronic image recording process, video installations, montages and sculptures established themselves as a fixed component of the art world.
