Cloisonism

Cloisonism refers to a Post-Impressionist style of painting that developed in the circle of the Pont-Aven School. Characteristic of this style of painting, which was inspired by Japanese woodblock prints, is the departure from central perspective and the use of rich areas of colour separated by dark contours.
