Antwerp Mannerism

The term Antwerp Mannerism covers a group of painters who were active in Antwerp in the first third of the 16th century, but who differed stylistically from Flemish Mannerism. The painters still belong to the late Gothic period, but integrated stylistic elements of Italian Mannerism into their works, such as the elongated figures or the expressive, dynamic gestures.
