Dürer period
The work of Albrecht Dürer (1471-1528) occupies an important position in the period of transition from the Middle Ages to modern times. Dürer is considered an important pioneer for the development of German art around 1500, which produced many other outstanding artists, which is why this is often emphasised as the Dürer period, in the sense of a high phase of German art.
