In 1937, Franz Radziwill wrote several times in letters to Dr W. Niemeyer about a trip to the Eifel. He may also have made a detour to the Saarland. There is no evidence of Radziwill travelling in 1940. It seems likely that the work was completed in the artist's studio in 1940. We are grateful to Prof. Dr. Dr. Presler for his kind scientific support.
