Rare. Prasse does not specify a print run, only mentioning trial prints on various types of paper. [MH].
- With clear lines, expressive simplification, and symbolic density, Feininger gives the depiction a timeless radiance. - In the year it was created, Walter Gropius called Feininger to the Bauhaus in Weimar. - Between 1918 and 1920, he produced a comprehensive body of graphic work that earned him a reputation as one of the most important masters of printmaking in the 20th century. - The Thuringian village inspired him to create several works, including two paintings. - Another copy is in the Victoria & Albert Museum, London.

In good condition. Overall slightly foxed. Slight mount staining. Kinks and small creases on the left and upper edges of the sheet. Mounting traces in the upper corners, showing through on the recto.
