- Landscapes and still lifes are key themes of Giorgio Morandi. - Time and again he depicted the region around the village Grizzana, today known as "Grizzana-Morandi" it is reminiscent of the artist. - His graphic gift was honored with the appointment to the teaching post of etching at the "Accademia di Belle Arti" in Bologna in 1930.
