- One of the symbolically encrypted and yet very visionary works made after the Nazis had seized power in 1933. - In December of the year the work was made, Josef Scharl emigrated to the USA, where he, after initial hardships, soon found great recognition. - Part of several U.S. exhibitons during the artist's lifetime. - For the first time offered on the international auction market (source: artprice.com).
