Vivian Maier (American, 1926-2009) Book of Travels (22 works), 1959-1960 Dye coupler prints 3 x 3 inches (7.6 x 7.6 cm) (images) From the Ron Slattery collection This lot contains twenty two color prints contained in a scrapbook with color images taken by Maier on the around-the-world trip she embarked upon from Los Angeles aboard the M/S Pleasantville in 1959. Not mere sightseeing snapshots, these images show her taking her same fearless approach to street photography to unfamiliar locations with certainty of purpose. Overall good condition. General toning to all sheets within album. Sheets are placed in a linen photo album. Album bears scuffing, chipping, discoloration and staining, and the spine has detached from its cover.
