Vivian Maier (American, 1926-2009) South Hamptons (7 works), 1951 Gelatin silver prints, ferrotyped 5 x 3-1/2 inches (12.7 x 8.9 cm) (sheets) Dated and inscribed in pencil by the artist, verso. From the Ron Slattery collection This group of portraits, taken in the summer of 1951 (just more than a year after the earliest known examples of her photography), shows Maier's early commitment to capturing people of all classes and ages in her work. Overall very good condition. Some sheets with creasing in the margins and uneven drying areas from the ferrotyping process. Sheets are loose, not framed.
