Object. Copper over wooden core. With the label of the edition on the reverse, there signed "Förg 87" and numbered as well as dated "76", titled and inscribed in typography. From an edition of 12 copies. 70 x 50 x 4 cm.
Published by Galerie Ralph Wernicke, Stuttgart 1987. [JS].
- Early edition published in a very small print run. - Of a unique character, as each of the 12 copies has a distinctive surface patina. - Timeless modern aesthetics: fascinating synthesis of heaviness and lightness, coolness and sensuality. - In 2014, the Museum Brandhorst, Munich, presented a first posthumous retrospective exhibition of the artist's work, followed by a show at the Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam, and the Dallas Museum of Art in 2018, as well as a major exhibition at the Long Museum, Shanghai, in 2023.
