Gercken 1707. Dube H 634 II. Signed and inscribed "Eigendruck". One of only six or seven known copies. On laid paper. 50 x 35 cm. Sheet: 63,4 x 38,8 cm.
- Hand-printed by the artis. - Striking self-portrait of Kirchner and his long-time partner Erna Schilling. - A year later he made an oil painting of the same name with a very similar motif (Gordon 973). - Of the maximum of seven known copies, three are museum-owned: the Museum of Modern Art, New York, the Kirchner Museum, Davos, and the Herzog Anton Ulrich-Museums, Brunswick.

In good condition. Minimally creased, discolored and with a few brownish spots. Small skinned spots in bottom center of the image that were expertly rebacked. On the reverse of the upper margin with small spots of mounting remains that slightly push through to recto.
